Mike Cross - Hour 2 - Template of Conformity & The Psychopath’s Utopia
April 5, 2012
In the second hour for members, we'll begin discussing why the individual is turned on by the psychopath in film, politics, personal relationships and real life. More and more we see this fascination within society. Mike incorporates Jungian themes to explain why. Entertainment, as the modern day shaman, is also becoming saturated with psychopathic leading characters. Mike explains why he thinks this is both a conscious conspiracy and an unconscious desire. Then, we'll discuss the political psychopath's paranoia, therefore passing laws to keep themselves protected. Later, we converse about the template of conformity within humanity, creating the psychopath's utopia. This brings us into a deeper exploration of the Nordic model of politics and society, which fosters crab mentality and dire consequences for the people. In the psychopath's utopia one is ousted for being different or striving for more.
