What the world thinks they know about the alleged DC shooter Aaron Alexis will be determined by what law enforcement officials have prepared as their official statements on the matter.

Law enforcement officials are saying that Aaron Alexis, a former Navy reservist, allegedly killed 12 people at the DC Naval Yard on Monday. The back story is that he had been previously been arrested for “gun-related”. We were also told that Alexis was a Veteran, a practicing Buddhist, who spoke fluent Thai. We were also told that Alexis had been previously treated for mental issues related to his trauma of being directly involved in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. And of course, we have reporters of the ultimate liberal nemesis-cum-weapon of mass destruction – the AR15 rifle on the scene. A perfect script for a perfect storm. Too perfect though.

It’s no surprise that the Aaron Alexis narrative has already catered for Piers Morgan and Martin Bashir’s latest banquet of liberal indignation.

It’s pretty obvious after seeing a multitude of official statements on the day in both the mainstream press and from law enforcement, that there were in fact ‘multiple shooters’ on site. It would be a bad joke to suggest that law enforcement could not work out the facts on the ground by simply looking at CCTV footage together with forensic evidence, and eye-witness statements together in order to draw a fairly accurate picture of the crime scene. But that’s looking more and more likely now.

Clearly, this is a case of authorities constantly shifting the story in order to cover-up either a multiple shooter conspiracy, a dry/or wet run for a staged White House assassination plot, or a major drill gone live on the day. It wouldn’t be the first time.

Following the Boston Bombing FBI fiasco, most Americans expect by now they will be lied to in the event of any mid-major crisis event. Still, the games continue.

Yesterday, I referenced a USA Today piece which cited a federal law-enforcement source (off the record), who states that Aaron Alexis, the accused shooter, cleared a Navy Yard security checkpoint in his car. After parking in the lot, he got into an argument and opened fire on one or two people. He then entered the building where he went on a killing spree.

So did Alexis shoot his way past security guards at the building’s separate checkpoint? Why weren’t the guards waiting for him just outside the building with their weapons drawn, after he, Alexis, had already shot people in the parking lot?

This USA Today account hasn’t spread widely through major media. It’s a version of events quite different from the official, more peaceful “gained entrance to the building by using someone’s else’s ID.”

So that’s two accounts.

Now I have a third, from an unsourced person who appears to be familiar with procedures at the Navy Yard and other naval facilities where computer techs (private contractors) work.

According to this source, Alexis was to show up at the Yard to work. He’d been hired as a tech. This was his first day on the job. He didn’t need two IDs, because these private-contractor techs are issued a VAL, Visitor Authorization Letter, which permits them to enter and work in various buildings. These VALs have an expiration date.

Alexis would have been carrying a VAL to get past checkpoints. Also, these techs typically carry no more than a backpack or small bag for cables and program CDs. Highly unlikely that Alexis could have gotten inside with a shotgun.
