We don't have a search function specifically designed for members yet. This might result in some confusion for you as a member at times. This page is intended to give you a few easy pointers on how to search and find radio programs, guests or topics within the Red Ice archives until our new members search bases system is ready.
The easiest way to find a program is to browse the radio archives year by year, pull up the search function within your browser (usually CTRL + F) to locate a guest name, a date or a title. As a member always make sure you go to the members radio archive first.
First, open our Search page from the top menu. (You don't have to log in first, but you can if you want. It doesn't really matter.) This will open a google search function aimed at out radio section of the site. Unfortunatley the google search enginee will not get any hits for programs that are password protected, this means you have to work around it to be able to use the search function to find programs as a member.
There's two quick and easy ways to do this:
1. When you've searched, clicked into the program you want to listen to and if you notice that it says "subscribe" instead of "download hour x", simply click the members button under "Log In to Listen". (This is located on the right hand side under the "subscribe" button.) The system hasn't acctually logged you out, it's just that you're performing a search "outside" of the members area.
If it's an older program, you might not see a members button or "Log In to Listen". The reason for this: we might not have added it yet. Older programs don't have this direct link and we're in the process of backtracking and fixing this.
2. A simple work around for this is to replace the file exstension in the URL, up in your address bar, from .html to .php.
For example: You've search and click into this page: http://www.redicecreations.com/radio/2008/11nov/RICR-081123.html, now simply replace the file ending .html to .php, like this http://www.redicecreations.com/radio/2008/11nov/RICR-081123.php and you will get to the correct page from where you can download the program.
We are building a whole new members site that will feature a much better search function and this old problem will be no more. Thanks for your patience while we finnish the new site.
