Dr. Robert Verkerk - Hour 2 - EU Banning Herbs & Pushing GMOs

We begin the second hour for members discussing the problems with the global food trade. Robert tells us about the bad aspects of not eating food from your region and the value of eating indigenous foods. He discusses how the global food trade has dumbed down our food supply and made us sick. Then, we talk about the EU institutions that draw up EU food and medicine legislation. Dr. Verkerk urges citizens to veto legislation and inform others about the dangers of GMOs. We also discuss GMO contamination and keeping real seeds alive to maintain a diverse seed stock. Synthetic biology is being viewed as the new science to solve all our problems while the basic principles of proper nutrition and lifestyle are being looking down upon. Robert talks about crony capitalism in our food and health care systems. Lastly, we end on a high note about things in our power that we can do. Roberts believes the tide will turn.
