May 20, 2010

We proceed to discuss Ymir, Yama, Gemini, the twin and the cave painting in Lascaux, France. What is the symbolism and significance of the Bull, the Pleiades, the stick man and the bird depicted on the cave walls? The cave art is believed to be about 17 000 years old and we connect it with some of the oldest art in Egypt that is believed to be about 15 000 years old, this art very similar in style. Who were the people behind the art? We discuss the Christian Nativity Scene, with the Manger, the Ox, the Kneeling Man, Virgo and Aries - it's an astrological motif. We talk about the continuation of traditions and ceremonies from the ancient world into Christianity, we talk about the Renaissance, the De Medici, the Corpus Hermeticum, and painters like Nicolas Poussin, his "The Shepherds of Arcadia" and much more. Topics Discussed: Cave Painting in Lascaux, The Oldest art in Egypt, Europe-Egypt Connection, The Nativity Scene, The Lion, the Manger and the Ox in the Sky, the Kneeling Man, the Ox, the Manger, Virgo, post Renaissance, Corpus Hermeticum, Aboriginal art and Tradition and much more.
