The Transiting Nodes Move Into Libra/Aries

The nodes (south and north node) are two points in an astrological chart that possess priceless information about one's karmic past and soul-destined future. Calculated by using the birth data of the individual, the nodes symbolize the unique life path that one is on and can answer many questions about his own, as well as his partner's, inner struggles and desires -- answers that can transform not only his relationship but his life. The North Node also indicates our collective destiny and objective at any given time.

Since there are twelve signs of the zodiac, there are also twelve unique nodal positions -- each pair of nodes (north and south) representing two opposite signs of the zodiac. For instance, a Libra sign north node is paired with an Aries sign south node because they are opposites. And because they are opposites, they create a clear picture of the dualistic struggle that resides within the Libra north node/Aries south node individual (or collective at that given time).

All of us individually and collectively have our own set of visible (and invisible) struggles to work through -- obstacles that the nodes of the moon can help us isolate and resolve. After experiencing the North Node in Scorpio since September 2012, we will soon experience a change of fate. Something new approaches us as we switch from a Fixed Water Sign to a Cardinal Air Sign, Libra. North Node in Libra will bring in a new era, focusing on partnerships, balance, diplomacy, evening out the score, beauty, arts, and women. South Node in Aries means dropping off the bullying, rage, anger, and me-ism. Libra seeks to weigh and measures, to bring justice, equality, harmony, and balance.

The North Node will transit Libra until November 2015. While the North Node was in Scorpio, and Saturn in Scorpio, we have all been forced, in varying degrees of intensity, to face deeply embedded material that lay dormant in the unconscious. Fears, vulnerabilities, deeply buried emotions and issues surrounding death and joint finances were all prevalent themes that needed to be constructively integrated.

We are shifting our attention away from these deeply intimate and secret chasms, to redirect attention from seriously intense subject matter towards some semblance of calm and homeostasis. While the North Node travels through Libra, there is a collective need and desire to open ourselves to the perceptions and perspectives of other people.

There is a drive to seek out experiences and connections that can assist in creating cohesion, equanimity and balance. The North Node in Libra can help with integration and digestion of everything that has come up on a personal and collective level.
