Scorpio New Moon - October 26, 2011

Sun and Moon together in Scorpio and Mercury and Venus also conjoined in Scorpio. The focus is on transformation as what lies in our subconscious seeks to be brought out in the light of consciousness. Scorpio is informed by what lies behind the thin veil of the ego and is concerned with exposing what we seek to deny.

The New Moon on October 26 makes contact with four planets; it opposes Jupiter in Taurus; trines Neptune in Aquarius; sextiles Pluto in Capricorn and quincunx Uranus in Aries, forming a network of triangles making this new Moon a great time to get insight. With all three outer transpersonal planets involved we feel especially connected to the collective and inspired from deep inside to move in surprising directions, as if moved by unconscious forces. It’s easy to get swept up in the passions of the moment and we may come face to face with motives we where not conscious of but that are equally important for our growth.

This trend is supported by the T-square involving the Mercury Venus conjunction in Scorpio, Mars in Leo and Neptune in Aquarius. All three personal planets, governing our thinking feeling and willing, are powerfully engage with the Neptunian urge to merge and the quest for redemption. These could be very confusing times, but they could also be very creative, if we can use the power of Saturn, which connects with the formation, to give form to the inspiring influence of Neptune.

We can use this new Moon to get insight into our deepest desires that we’ve refused to act on and that have been relegated to the shadow. This process can be deeply disturbing if we are materially attached to the old way of thinking, and it can also be enlightening if we go through the internal processing.
