New Moon Solar Eclipse in Cancer on July 1, 2011

The New Moon Solar Eclipse at 09° 12' Cancer, 01:55 AM PDT on 1 July 2011 is the final eclipse in Capricorn-Cancer eclipse series and represents a wrapping up of a difficult situation that began in mid-2009. You may have another couple of weeks of resolve to do until the Full Moon on July 15 but the challenge you’ve faced for the past two years will be phasing out.

This eclipse forms a tense grand cross with Saturn, Uranus and Pluto. The first out is a trine between Pluto and Jupiter. This aspect supports transformation and positive change. The second out flows between Saturn and Mars, the planet of action. There is also a square from the Sun and Moon to Saturn.

Squares pose the most challenge of any aspect. Overcoming a square can be difficult and requires discipline, but the end result is worth the effort. In lieu of the past two years this may be an emotionally challenging time as we are coming out of the wreckage. For many, to move in a new direction and start fresh requires leaving things, people or places behind. Even though we may feel confident that we made the right decision, loss is emotional. Cancer is the sentimental sign of the zodiac, so we could be extremely emotional for a day or two on other side of the eclipse.
