One Liners & Proverbs
A Committee is a group of people who individually can do nothing, but as a group decide that nothing can be done

A dog thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... They must be Gods! A cat thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... I must be a God!

A fine is a tax for doing wrong. A tax is a fine for doing well.

A neurotic is a man who builds a castle in the sky. Phychotic is the man who lives in it. And a psychiatrist collects the rent.

Full Moon in Taurus Nov. 21 - Sun in Sagittarius Nov.22 to Dec. 21

The Moon in Taurus pushes for a time of caution and practicality. People may feel more old-fashioned and constant. This is a good time to continue or to finish projects that have already been started, as people may be more dependable and thorough. Like the stubborn Bull representative of Taurus, people may be bull-headed — reluctant to negotiation and be confrontational. Care needs to be taken to avoid self-indulgence and disproportionate concern or desire for material wealth.

Since, moon in Taurus represents Relaxed, Practical, Sensual, Patient, and Stubborn. We must use the practical senses. Whatever your sign and wherever Taurus is placed in your Natal Chart, this moment of renewed alignment between your sense of personal direction and your sense of emotional commitment marks the place where stability is important to you. Here is where you want things to be conventional, melodious, and enjoyable — and where resources, both financial and in terms of personal relationships, are applied and exchanged.

The Moon transiting Taurus gives us a very different feeling. Moon in Taurus is inclined towards content, patience, caution, and conservation. This is a good time to take a retreat or to schedule a lazy day of rest and sensual enjoyment. It’s a time to get into your physical senses and to enjoy the physical world around you through your senses. It is also a good time for environmental or preservation efforts. This is not the time to clean out closets and drawers. You’ll want to keep everything.

The Sun represents the self we present to the external world, our vital life force, potential, ambitions, intentions, and unrealized/untapped inherent talents/skills. The Sun in Sagittarius is lucky, wise, curious, friendly, popular, and just. Life is in the living, experiencing and growing as well as the journey. While the Sun is in Sagittarius, dare to dream. Allow for excitement. Let yourself be okay with being unsatisfied with simply existing and living in automatic mode. Have the courage to seek out living a passionate life, where your days are filled with people and activities that make you feel like your life is fulfilling instead of just full. Entertaining such thoughts won't mean you'll be dropping everything irresponsibly for the sake of what could be. It simply helps widen your horizons and perhaps enlighten you to what you truly need or want out of life, at this juncture in your life.

Peter Russell - The Primacy of Consciousness

At Cambridge University (UK), Peter Russell studied mathematics and theoretical physics. Then, as he became increasingly fascinated by the mysteries of the human mind he changed to experimental psychology. Pursuing this interest, he traveled to India to study meditation and eastern philosophy, and on his return took up the first research post ever offered in Britain on the psychology of meditation. In the mid-seventies Peter Russell joined forces with Tony Buzan and helped teach "Mind Maps" and learning methods to a variety of international organizations and educational institutions. His principal interest is the deeper, spiritual significance of the times we are passing through. He has written several books in this area.

For the first hour of this program, Peter Russell discusses the nature of primacy and consciousness as we explore concepts from his books, "From Science to God: A Physicist's Journey into the Mystery of Consciousness". Peter Russell blends physics, psychology, and philosophy, which leads us to a new worldview in which consciousness is as fundamental to the cosmos as space, time, and matter. Russell arrives at a universe similar to that described by many mystics -- one in which science and spirit no longer conflict.

In the second hour, we talk about Russell’s book "The Global Brain", building on Lovelock's Gaia hypothesis, he talks about how our global linking may be leading us toward an evolutionary breakthrough. We also discuss, technology, the Internet, the birth of the matrix, illusions, how to stay present and much more.
