Neuroscience: A Swedish study links mobile phones to brain damage
2004 09 10
The safety of cellphones has been called into question, again. This time the scientific community is paying very close attention. Last summer neurosurgeon Leif Salford and colleagues at Lund University in Sweden published data showing for the first time an unambiguous link between microwave radiation emitted by GSM mobile phones (the most common type worldwide) and brain damage in rats.

2.45GHz Radiofrequency Fields Alter Gene Expression in Cultured Human Cells - The Danger of Cell Phone Radiation
2005 09 12
We used the pulsed RF fields at a frequency of 2.45GHz that is commonly used in telecommunication to expose cultured human HL-60 cells. We used the serial analysis of gene expression (SAGE) method to measure the RF effect on gene expression at the genome level. We observed that 221 genes altered their expression after a 2-h exposure. The number of affected genes increased to 759 after a 6-h exposure.

Cell Phone Use Can Reduce Sperm Count
2004 09 10
Regular mobile phone use can reduce a man's sperm count by up to 30 per cent, a study shows. Even carrying a handset in a belt or trouser pocket can affect male fertility, it suggests. Experts believe radiation from mobile phones has a dramatic impact on the numbers of sperm, and their swimming ability, both of which are linked to successful conception.

Tool to Reduce Your Brain's Exposure to Cell Phone Radiation
2005 04 27
Although the cell phone industry continues to claim that their products are safe, there is still no scientific data available to prove this. Evidence to the contrary, however, is mounting every day. EMFs which cell phones emit are similar to the ones that are emitted by a microwave oven.

The future of mobiles: powered by a heartbeat
2007 07 26
Scientists have developed a generator that can produce electricity from vibrations, Richard Gray reports
Mobile phones could in future be powered by their owner's beating heart after scientists developed a generator that can produce electricity from vibrations in the surrounding environment.
Initially developed for use in industrial machinery, the -scientists are now tweaking the design so it can be used to power ... |

Radio Frequency, Active Denial & Psych Weapons
2005 07 28
An RF active denial weapon is basically a microwave oven at full power with the door open. Microwaves make organic materials (i.e., people) heat up by vibrating molecules together. They also generate something called "eddy currents" in anything that conducts. These are small, low voltage but high current electrical fields.
