Warning of ’imminent’ terror attack in Norway

Norwegians were warned Thursday of the concrete possibility of a terror attack occurring in that country at the hands of people with connections to an extremist group in Syria.A press conference was called in Oslo, Norway on Thursday where an announcement was made of a "possible concrete threat" to national security in that country from terrorists related to an extremist group in Syria.
According to Justice Minister Anders Anundsen, "We recently received information linked to a group in Syria that could have the intention to carry out a terrorist attack in Norway."
Also present at the press conference were PST-chief Alana Bjørnland and acting police director Vidar Refviksanden.
It was advised that all regions of Norway have now raised their preparedness due to the reports that a terrorist attack will be carried out within the next few days.
Refviksanden said that police will now be especially vigilant. He said, "We understand that some may be troubled. The information we have does not contain threats to specific individuals or institutions."
